Filly Rachel Alexandra, ridden by Calvin Borel, became the first female horse to win the Preakness Stakes since 1924 with a narrow victory Saturday ahead of Mine That Bird at Pimlico.
Borel rode Mine that Bird to a runaway victory May 2 in the Kentucky Derby at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Ky.
